Our mission is to nurture students into mature citizens of the world who are well grounded intellectually, spiritually and socially.
Pisgah Heights School follows the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) and is proud to offer a variety of extra curricular courses and activities to further our children's education.
Grow & Build
Our Vision is to see our students grow so that they may build a bright future
Phase 1: Refurbish & Upgrade
At the current Pisgah Heights property in Maai Mahiu, add 2 classrooms and several office spaces to accommodate the new 9th grade (an expansion for current students) as well as an additional, incoming class of 3 yr-olds this coming January 2025. Demolish unused structures to create more open space. Reconfigure some existing spaces in main building, especially the kitchen. These immediate modifications will also satisfy requirements for permanent school registration.
Phase 3: Expand
First build jr. high school facility and relocate jr high grades to new site. Then expand lower grade enrollment to fill space made available at original (primary) campus.
Phase 2: Identify & Purchase
First identify and purchase land for future site for relocation of jr. high grades and addition of high school grades. Then develop infrastructure: water, electricity, and internet.
Phase 4: Complete
Build high school facility co-located with jr high.

Our Story
Our school was born out of a desire to see young students grounded properly in the Gospel of Jesus Christ while excelling in their academic and other life pursuits. We started out as a homeschooling program for Valley Light children. Over time, our staff brought their kids to Valley Light to join Valley Light children in class. We opened our doors to community children in January, 2022.
We did not anticipate the influx of kids that we have seen over the last couple of years. We will have a ninth grade class in January, 2025, which is the start of our Kenyan school year. We have more than 50 children from the community on the waiting list, not including the new pre-school class. Our school has posted excellent grades and has participated in music competitions, placing second at the county level.
Our teachers are the greatest asset to our school. Though they have had opportunities to seek employment in more established environments, they have chosen to remain at Pisgah to expand the vision of our school. We couldn’t be more thankful!
