Phase 1: Refurbish & Upgrade

At the current Pisgah Heights property in Maai Mahiu, add 2 classrooms and several office spaces to accommodate the new 9th grade (an expansion for current students) as well as an additional, incoming class of 3 yr-olds this coming January 2025. Demolish unused structures to create more open space.  Reconfigure some existing spaces in main building, especially the kitchen. These immediate modifications will also satisfy requirements for permanent school registration.

Phase 3: Expand

First build jr. high school facility and relocate jr high grades to new site. Then expand lower grade enrollment to fill space made available at original (primary) campus.

Story

Our Story

Our school was born out of a desire to see young students grounded properly in the Gospel of Jesus Christ while excelling in their academic and other life pursuits. We started out as a homeschooling program for Valley Light children. Over time, our staff brought their kids to Valley Light to join Valley Light children in class. We opened our doors to community children in January, 2022.

We did not anticipate the influx of kids that we have seen over the last couple of years. We will have a ninth grade class in January, 2025, which is the start of our Kenyan school year. We have more than 50 children from the community on the waiting list, not including the new pre-school class. Our school has posted excellent grades and has participated in music competitions, placing second at the county level.

Our teachers are the greatest asset to our school. Though they have had opportunities to seek employment in more established environments, they have chosen to remain at Pisgah to expand the vision of our school. We couldn’t be more thankful!
